Adeniyi Adeogun

Head, Internal Audit and Risk Management (Vigeo Holdings)

Niyi Adeogun is a graduate of Accountancy and a seasoned Chartered Accountant.

He started his career with TNT Newspapers Limited, Ikeja and later worked with A.L. & Co. (Chartered Accountants). He also worked with Bright Idemu Investment Limited, Ikeja as the Finance and Administrative Manager. He was one of the pioneer Internal Auditors in EAS Airlines. He was the Chairman of several investigative panels and other committees where he played key roles.

Adeniyi worked as an expatriate with Slok Air International (Gambia) Ltd, Banjul. He started as a Country Accountant in Lome, Togo. He later headed the Internal Audit Department at the Airline's Head office in Banjul, Gambia where he coordinated all the audit activities covering at least eleven (11) countries. He led a team that set up the Internal Audit Department of the Airline. His dynamic audit activities and write-ups on business re-engineering led to the strengthening of the Airlines' internal control system and business re-invigoration. He later joined Nibuk Consult (Nigeria) Ltd, Ikeja as the Head of Accounts, Business Development & Compliance. He led the team that set up the Accounts, Internal Control and Tax Consultancy in the organization, where he continued to occupy positions of increasing responsibilities in Accounting, Auditing, Tax and Administration of the company.

Presently, Adeniyi heads the Group Internal Audit & Risk Management department of Vigeo Group. He is working with his team towards achieving effective & efficient Internal Audit & Risk Management in all the fifteen (15) companies in the Group.

In addition to possessing an MBA from the University of Calabar, Cross Rivers State, Adeniyi is a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria and the Institute of Registered Administrative Managers of Nigeria. He is an associate member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (CITN), Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), UK , Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), US and the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants of Nigeria (CIMAN). He is also certified in Risk & Information System Control (CRISC) US.
